NW U3A NEWS
Issue no 4 CHRISTMAS 2009
1. From the Chair of North West Regional Executive Committee (NWREC)
The NW Trustee and the members of NWREC would like to wish all NW U3A members a peaceful, happy Christmas and an exciting New Year with many opportunities for participating in local and regional activities.
Our Trustee is due to retire in the next few months and it is up to NW U3As to propose and vote for a replacement on the National Executive. It is vital for the NW to have a strong voice on the NEC where national planning takes place. We must make sure that the issues affecting the NW are brought to the attention of the Trustees. We are developing a reputation as a forward looking and strong region with an eye on future development. Please think carefully about whether you could undertake this role. Further details on what this entails can be obtained informally through me although the formal electoral process will be run by TAT.
NWREC need your support to ensure the continued success of our planned events and for us to be the most proactive region.
Kathleen Mercier
