Thursday 8th July

10 - 12 am Social coffee morning in the Civic Hall                    

Coffee served between 10 & 11. Come and have a chat

and make new friends. Non-members welcome.

Tuesday 27th July

Lunch at the Manor Restaurant, Greasby

2 courses                                          £13.95

 

Monday 23rd August

Tour of the Cheshire countryside and a

Visit to Mrs Harvey’s Old School House at Ridley

for Lunch/afternoon tea (£5.00)

Visit to local garden centre, coach    £14

 

Thursday 9th September

An eight mile journey on the steam train with

visit to the Grouse Inn, Carrog for lunch,  with time to explore Llangollen before returning home.

Train ticket included, 

Lunch not included.                      £22 

 

If you have not tried one of the outings, please come along and make new friends. Everyone is friendly and lifts are arranged if you do not have transport.

Remember to bring your diary and cheque book to the meetings in order to reserve your place!

COMING EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR AREA IN  2010

 

These events are open to everyone. Your secretary has the details and application forms.

  

 

JULY 6-9th   South East Forum Summer School at the University of Chichester.  Subjects  include Art History, Chichester History, Creative Drama, Needlecraft Lace, Watercolour painting for beginners, Science in Society,  Three Novels, Vienna, Opera, Writing .

 

 

AUG 16th- 19th at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. Courses include Architecture, Drama, France, History, Mah Jong, Mahler, Philosophy, Poetry, Psychology, Science & Technology, Singing for Pleasure.

 

AUG 23-26th    at the Royal Agricultural  College Cirencester. Courses include Art History, Cinema History, Computing Workshop, Geology, Spanish, Literature, Music Appreciation, Philosophy, Poetry, Storytelling, Writing.
